I've heard that Mattel is "reopening" in June along with most of LA businesses. Will there still be remote working options? Will people be forced to return? What if someone isn't vaccinated? Won't that put them at significant risk? Will they require vaccinations? So many questions. Does anyone really want to go back to that place?

Do we really need brick and mortar offices anymore? I love the idea of being able to work at Mattel while living in Costa Rica.
That’s the exact opposite of what we heard today...
No one will be going back to work in the el segundo office. All positions will remain work from home positions. Announcements coming from HR soon.
No worries. All is well. Team meetings will maximize efficiencies. Upper management will rightfully claim credit for Mattel thriving throughout the pandemic. RD's motivational rhetoric will resume. Ynon will announce numerous sequels and prequels to the Magic 8 Ball and Viewmaster movies. Resume your labours and have faith in Mattel. It's swell.
One thing I know isn't happening in June: me going back into an office on top of a 90-minute commute while being expected to work 10-12 hour days as a rule to support unrealistic project timelines and crazy-making leadership decisions. Never ever happening and I wish Mattel all the best.
Say goodbye any productivity gained from having everyone working from home and say hello again to rush hour traffic.
