When will IBM sell Kyndryl and who do you think would buy it?

Kyndryl is a platform for getting rid of 90,000 employees.
Why would any one buy this pos ?
It is my understanding that IBM is splitting into two pieces – the growing part, and the declining part. Shareholders at the time of split are going to get shares in both.
What I don't understand is this: why would anyone want shares in the shrynkyn company? Does this mean a massive selloff of IBM shares before the split?
kyndryl will sell kyndryl once separated from IBM
TBH, I think the original question made more sense than whatever you just wrote there. Also the op managed to ask it without hurling insults.
Gzus Kryst how some people jump on the smallest opportunity to be a smartass know-it-all. Anybody who knows anything about anything knows that IBM would love to sell Kyndryl before they end up spinning it off, which is what they'll do if they don't find a buyer. Explaining to somebody who asked that question how a spinoff is different from a sale is just r*tarded (and not in the good way like on Reddit).
So here's the question spelled out for all you autistics: who might be potential buyers for Kendra ahead of IBM spinning it off?
"LOL, for sure Kyndryl still can be sold off"
LOL, for sure IBM can't sell Kyndryl is the point you missed.
IBM would love to sell, but they will never find a buyer for a company that is bloated with greedy executives.
D’oh it’s an independent company with it’s own stock. Maybe you should do some simple research and read a business 101 book.
Um Yeah.
https://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/090715/comparing-spinoffs-splitoffs-and-carveouts.asp this is a good article if you need more info about how spin-offs work.
IBM doesn’t own newco. It’s it’s own company. Selling after the spinoff does nothing does noting for ibm. As soon as it sounds off by year end, it’s off the books
IBM definitely needs the money Their debt is crushing them, and this is during historic low interest rates. That burden must be reduced if IBM is to expand their investment into Hybrid Cloud, AI, and SW modernization/LINUX. The buyer will gain a foothold into the Fortune 500 and form a partnership that should pay dividends. That most likely makes quite a leg up vs others. The real question is who can stroke a big check. (Yes it will have to be quasi big. Just compare the deal to HPE and CSC) There are only a few companies out there who would be in the running.
Selling would make far more sense as it gives IBM $ to put into the business. But will never happen because of all the widows and orphans that like having IBM in their fixed income portfolio.
Tata or HCL will buy them in 1-2 yrs
LOL, for sure Kyndryl still can be sold off is the right buyers comes along. Happened to PwC consulting spin off as well on a blue monday.
Sell it? I think you may have completely misunderstood what is happening.
