Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

So we can no longer invite laid off colleague friends to campus?

I wanted to invite a good friend and a colleague who got laid off in December, over for a lunch at the campus and when I was filling out his visitor request putting his name in the form the form flagged him. w-f? Are we not allowed to invite our friends over and break our friendships with them just because our idiotic managment decided to lay them off to save their own jobs?

I understand the company may have a security concern about the situation but what if i am responsibly inviting a person over by escorting them. These people that were laid off were good, smart, hardworking, and normal people unlike what the company is trying to portray and classify them. Sick! This is the worst I have felt staying on board here. Mgmt. are you all listening? Treat people humanely and not like animals locked up in a cage.

Well that could get interesting for me. I actually have potential business to conduct on campus, lol. Are there exceptions?

I think XOM is chit now, but why on earth would a laid off employee want to go back to that h–l h–e?

Unpopular opinion - The campus is gorgeous and the views/nature are great. Beats all the noise pollution you get if you eat out.

Social life is off campus. If there is a business purpose I’m sure they can come to campus.

Meet offsite. Why would a laid-off person even want to return to the house of horrors?
