Choosing work from home over hybrid or in office return is a one way trip to putting your name on the lay off list.
So we have been told in our area in a not so direct way.

Ignore the false lies and scare tactics.
Not true. I doubt my leader would want to stay home if this were there. Just fear and a fake rumor. Next.

My manager hasn't said this but never has any answers. You can see the writing on the wall. Estimates can be written by people making a lot less per hour in India. As a Field Appraiser I want to go out but not allowed to. They say concerned about safety. Thats a load of bs. Then I guess other companies don't care about safety. They can get people to do more claims from a desk and don't care about high supplements because alot of people are cashing out. They need people working from home working more hours than if they went on the road or to an office due to all the people they laid off.

That doesn’t make any sense. It’s less expensive to have people work from home.

It’s probably more that your manager rules by fear and this is their not so direct way of saying they don’t trust you to work from home.
But it’s more exciting to scaremonger others, isn’t it?
