Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM management style is that of a precariat class

Finally found a proper name for what is happening in IBM:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precariat

Precariat are the people that have no idea what to do with their life, living day by day, not knowing how they get their next meal and if they will be able to pay rent next month. No financial literacy, no plans beyond making it through the day. No savings, lots of debt, no vision.
Affected heavily by changes in their health or environment, like new technologies emerging, or this COVID situation. Reacting to changes, but adapting poorly. Prone to bad habits like alcoholism, criminal behavior out of frustration.

At the other hand, successful people are actively driving the changes in their environment instead of just reacting to them. They are financially literate and keep their life and finances in healthy shape. They have both short term and long term plans and put energy into making those happen.

IBM as a company used to be successful. It used to lead the path and have a vision.
Then somebody started to manage it the same way as the precariat class is managing their lives.
Day by day, without a plan. It's the same as if and old aristocrat dies and their property is inherited by a distant relative who is a gambling addict.

Mediocrity or sloth together. A co—l, paid more than on Miami's ocean drive, to GR, SP and a few other club friends.
