Best customer service EVER

Freep reports:

Kristina Nikolaides paid Ford Motor Co. $22,000 through her bank's autopay system and now she's trying to find out what happened to the money.

After she struggled to find answers to that and other questions, a Ford representative threatened in writing to report to police that Nikolaides' 2019 Explorer has been stolen — a vehicle on which she had made $700-a-month payments without interruption.

"This is a nightmare," she told the Free Press. "Nobody should have to go through this."

Wonder if she will buy another Ford?

Setting the low bar for the industry.

Another low bar for how to treat a Ford customer. Warranty, Recalls, Rust, and Deception. What a combination that’s hard to say yes to.

Was the vehicle loan through Ford Credit? I don’t trust them! My son’s newer vehicle was totaled in an accident that was the fault of the other driver. His loan was through Ford Credit and he had purchased their insurance to cover the difference between the remaining loan balance and insurance payout in the event that the vehicle was a total loss and the insurance payout was less than what was owed.

Ford Credit told him that he must continue making payments until receiving the payout from the Ford Credit insurance. They said he would be sent to collections if he did not stay current in his payments on the totaled vehicle. They assured him that their insurance would cover the amount that was owed at the time of the accident. That did not happen. He made payments for months and their insurance covered only the difference between the insurance payout and what was owed when ford credit finally got around to processing the claim. He was out several thousand dollars and had to make payments on the totaled vehicle and his replacement vehicle while ford credit took their time processing the claim. Seems like a scam to reduce payout on their part!

Luckily my son had savings to cover this and assumed he would evidently get his money returned. What would happen to a person who wasn’t fortunate enough to be able to make double car payments.
