I work in ASIC. To be fair, most of the managers in the department are good people. However, last month managers had to take one chat at a time and I was BLOWN AWAY at some of the basic questions managers asked that I learned as a new hire. Some managers that were asking these questions have been in the department SEVERAL years. So when allstate pushes these unrealistic metrics, the managers and upper management would have no idea how to hit these goals.

Management, at any level, COULD NOT DO what they expect their employees to do. None of them. If they were in that place, they wouldn’t last a month.
ASIC has adopted a method used by the Field Sales Leadership. Let’s hire sales management folks that have never sold or serviced an insurance policy in their life. Moreover, let’s teach the agents how to lie on insurance applications and pay them really big bonuses and give them exotic trips all over the world.
The plan is working really well! Retention is down 1/2%. The claims department drives their elephants to work. Allstate has become a toxic environment for all parties involved (including customers!) Can someone see if Progressive will buy this cesspool for $130 a share? Lookout Eddie Lampert, Tommy Boy and Porky 🐷 Glenn are coming to join you!
