I moved to a new company and apparently also transferred all my frustrations from Allstate.
I am very anxious and I think they will call me at any moment to give me criticism, more work and layoff. I am wary of backstabbing and too distrustful of new colleagues. I thought that leaving here would solve the problems, but I still can't relax.
Stress is obviously still here and I stayed in the company more than one should.

Getting RIF’d was the best thing that ever happened to me. Well over 30 years there and I couldn’t be happier and I’m not even retired yet. You’re mind comes back and your blood pressure comes down and your health comes back in to check. Get out while you can and add some years to your lifespan. No joke
@lry+1aiXPus2 no, people who call it drama are spot on, and don't put up with the BS long enough to let it have an effect, they move on to a new employer and don't let their work become their life.
Corporate Traumatic Stress Disorder is a real thing and depending how long you’ve struggled with it, may need treatment to deal with it:

Don’t listen to those trying to minimize and dismiss your experience. This is real and not ‘drama’- folks who say that accept gaslighting and bullying as a lifestyle.
I’ve been gone for a month and didn’t realize the effect this job had on me until other people started calling me out on it.
My new boss told me today that I don’t have to IM or explain to him every time I step away from my desk for a minute to get water or take a bathroom break.
I was fortunate enough to be able to take 2 months off after I was pushed out the door and dropped overboard from the Titanic. What a great feeling after 8 weeks away from the insanity. Clear head, brain cells reborn, migraines ceased, heartburn stopped, felt like a rebirth and reintroduction to myself. Time away was a blessing that cannot be overstated.
I've been told I suffer from PTSD - 35 years with the company, BTE most the years and put up with alot of bull S%#T............. crazy that I ever let a job take over my life and not see them screwing employees over....................
Chill out. Focus on your new opportunity
It was just a job. Y'all making it sound like we are working on the beaches of Normandy. It's just business, if you can't handle it, gtfo and experience real stress. Drama, drama, drama.
Therapy will be the best thing for those that are still dealing with the lingering effects of this abusive environment.
The immense amounts of abuse and unethical treatment of the employees has resulted in a lot of PTSD to most of us. I got another job shortly after being laid off and panic quit because I was paranoid of getting threatened and screwed over. I am working again but the feelings of paranoia and dread are still there.
