I feel sorry for the people who will be badly affected in the second round of layoffs, but I sincerely hope that I will be in that round. I need some rest.
What I would also like is to be notified by email and that’s it! Some people complain that the layoffs at Centene are very cold and impersonal, but that's exactly the way I would like it to be. I don’t need any ridiculous meetings or explanations.

Some of the people in my department had to stay on a few weeks and work after told about their layoff. This was from the big 3,000 layoffs a few months back.
You will be called into a zoom with your manager and HR with no prior notice. They will read off a script then email you your severance. They will threaten you that if you tell anyone the specifics of your package you will jeopardize it. Severance differs by job title and tenure. You will be cut loose that day and shipped your stuff. Very impersonal, you will not know who else was severed because your email and phone will be turned off later in day.
I was devastated at the time of my lay off in February. Since then, have found a job doing the same work for more money, less stress...Centene actually did me a huge favor. Best of luck to you all in your job search.
I seriously hope I am in the second round as well. I need some rest too, I am so mentally exhausted. This place is toxic and draining. I am in shared services PHS and I am ready to go. I really don't care how they let me know, it can be my email, zoom, a phone call, text message, regular mail, smoke signals, just as long as it happens.
I would have liked to have been notified prior. At least 60 days. Yet, I still would have been fine with them telling me to log off as soon as the meeting was over, as they did in mines. I couldn’t imagine working knowing I’ve already been chopped, waiting for the last day. All in all I’m so glad it’s over, that place was horrible.
