Sorry to tell ya, Susanna, but Ford dealerships are independent franchises and not run by Ford Motor Company. Same as Ford Foundation is also not FoMoCo. It's unfortunate that how when these other entities behave poorly that it tarnishes the Ford brand overall. Ford Motor doesn't need any more help with that at the moment with the sky-rocketing warranty spend and d–bdecisions like exiting the sedan market. Thanks, Professor Moonbeam, thanks alot.

Ford is one of the worst employers out there. They push their employees to'upsell' then fire them for selling customers things they don't need. They also don't pay service techs to do any warranty work...no pay as if it was the employees fault for recall or a poorly made or designed product.

It is crazy how some people see evil and bad intentions everywhere nowadays. Some woke need to go to sleep.

Centuries ago voting was done by the voters having two colors of small balls and they placed a white ball in the voting box for yes and a black ball for no. The colors were chosen because the balls needed to be in high contrast so everyone could see the results of the vote at a glance when the balls were poured out of the voting box. The colors black and white were readily available in natural materials (stones/marble). This practice originated in a homogenous society so there was no racist connotation. The labels whitelist and blacklist are widely assumed to have originated from blackballing and white balling.
The practice of voting with white and black balls still persists in places like Masonic temples and fraternal orders.

I was jk and mocking the radical woke deconstructionist identity politics people when I sarcastically said blacklist is a racist term. But don't worry there are plenty of people seriously working to ban many expressions of free speech including the term blacklist as I type this.

The term “blacklist” was not originally associated with racism but I can understand how it could be perceived that way. A better word would be blocklist. It is intended to identify undesirable or problem employees and block them from being rehired. Being a problem (or ideal) employee is definitely an equal opportunity position.

There is a flag for what it’s worth. In all my years I flagged only two people as rehire = N. One never completed assignments and fought with everyone. The other was a decent worker but caused nonstop drama with everyone. I was constantly getting pulled into meetings to discuss the drama and arguments caused by this person. No one wanted to work with either of these people. Drama person left because they weren’t getting the promotion they felt they deserved but didn’t do well at their new position and wanted to come back. An LL4 that they were friends with pulled some strings and they were rehired. So yes, there is a flag but it’s ignored if an LL argues on behalf of the person.

Your supervisor checks a rehire-able box on your exit papers.
If they check not rehire-able you are in theory not rehire-able unless someone is willing to run up the chain on your behalf.

This goes for contractors as well.

Some supervisors are petty and will flag people as not rehire-able to get even with them for leaving.

In 20 years I only flagged one person as not rehire-able. He was a piece of work, always creating drama in the group, never doing his work, and regularly showing up to work under the influence.

Other supervisors flagged nearly everyone who left as not rehire-able.

Criteria is former employee = no rehire. You're in, you're in, you're out, you're out.
