Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

You guys really think you represent the company?

It has been over two weeks since any post has more than 2000 views and yet many on here think they are going to change the Allstate world? This site is filled with a bunch of know it all’s, conspiracy theorists, fear mongers, people who could not lead people out of a wet paper bag and obvious racists. If you really think the company is utilizing many if any resources to monitor this site, you are delusional. While it saddens me what this company is becoming, who can blame them. Many of the folks that post here are actually part of the problem, not the solution.

Go ahead, Roast me. I’ll just keep watching as my severance, pension and 401k after 30 plus years keeps growing and watch this train wreck of leadership and employees continue to fall of the rails. Take control of your own lives and don’t depend on some archaic company that is obviously taking advantage of you lead you down the primrose lane.

Gramps is retired before 59 and 1/2 and started in claims with a salary of 18K. Gramps had the drive, knowledge and understanding that working 50/60 hrs a week was normal. Gramps got out of his starting position in claims quickly. Gramps had more accountability than most of you could ever imagine or come close to handling or dealing with. Gramps helped make the people around him that actually did the work, sacrificed and had the skills, better off. Most importantly, gramps position was eliminated and didn’t have to take an assessment and gramps had the foresight to not apply for another position last year hoping to be saved. Because gramps knew in the back of his mind 2020 wasn’t going to be as bad as 2021.

To many of you self proclaimed grunts, just want to be comfortable and have nothing change. If you want to get ahead, and I’ll give that Allstate probably isn’t the place, you should think and act harder about being more proactive versus waiting to suckle up to Tom and Glen’s teat. They owe you zip. And hey, if you can’t handle Allstate, McDonalds is always hiring, so you got that going for you.

As for the racist comment of your so called peers that I mentioned, Patel and La’Quisha names were used to describe support functions as late as this morning. Nice. And no one ever takes a shot at those guys? Great leadership from the holier than thou grunts that proclaim they are being done wrong.

It’s almost nap time for gramps. Hope the market closes well today. I’ll check back later for your twisted views on reality.

I believe you OP. You said you have 30 years and as someone said you obviously cant manage money because your still working.I absoutely believe you are sleeping on the job and are in mid to upper management and still employed at this farce.You didnt even need to state that the workforce has figured that out. I wish this company could enema all mgt above immediate supervisors they are working as hard as us derogatory "grunts" as Tom and Glenn refer to us, and hire back peers I saw let go who could run circles around you gramps with knowledge skills and abilities.You are so un-threatened by us incompetents you feel need to check here every day on the latest post.

Too many years of letting sub-par performance slip through the cracks, and then leave the company with sizable financial obligations to drop the sh–ty productivity.

Thx to a couple of you for your roasts and proving my point that if you think you represent this company, you are sadly mistaken. I was let go in 2020 and laughed all the way to the bank. Oh, I got my 2020 bonus a few weeks ago too as did thousands of others. As for pension, old plan was locked in...if u didn’t move your money. And when the interest rate dropped in September, that was like a whole additional year of pay that bumped the pension. Sweet.

There are far many posts on this site about close to minimum wage pay or as we can surely agree grunt pay. It’s a simple as this, get busy living or get busy dying. Most here are dying because they don’t have the guts to get out. Every reason for not leaving is nothing more than excuse, and the company is not to blame for individual stagnation. The old Allstate isn’t ever coming back.

well done grunt from us other grunts were not racists or fearmongers, G knows we dont look to the "leaders" at Allstate for sincerity, truthfullness or transparency but they sure like to throw that last word around especially for a bunch of gutless wonder unethical lying modern robber barons who showed their true colors in middle of worst health crisis in grandpa's "30 years" at Allstate but he prob cant remember that far back much less form a decent argument without attacking the people who produce to give him that pension and 401k he raves about (news flash its cr@p at Allstate) and he's already planning to get severance so he must figure his days are numbered putting his swollen calves up on the pressboard desk. Dont fall and break a hip going from your bedroom to your computer to work im sure you log in and spend your day in "meetings" like most of the throwaway middle management at Allstate.

The post naming the "personality test" company by name and explaining the BS smokescreen was dead on from a whistleblower. Where was fear mongering know it all re that? As for leadership who cant lead is anyone who buys into Transformative Growth that cant see the short term gains are only that, the company has been gutted and a lot areas are struggling already to meet goals, and rest assured long term customers will suffer and stock price will go down as does market share. That brillant advert campaign "lets make lots of money" really made we want to buy Allstate ahahaha. Be patient "30 year lifer" YOU are the problem your in management and do Jack S while the "grunts" as were called in customer facing positions posts here are trending on twitter you dimwit. The company is chock full of middle managers, and THAT is an area that needs an enema and you can take your 10 years (oh its 30 thats right but your STILL WORKING you are a financial genius! please manage my portfolio) and crawl to another company and be a s—up to rise to your level of incompetence in prob lower mid management, who, next to the senior execs are the biggest class of F ups.. Racists? Youve worked 30 years you didnt think your senior leader in town hall referring to "the blacks and the browns" was a little off putting? It was awful and after that we were NOT to record any conferences. Ok.

Go read the post about the snoops or paid company dmg control id–ts prob in HR and you will see this ahat troll clown is just that.

Btw your welcome for your job that 401k pension etc us "grunts" earn it for you but trust me theyve gutted the talent and the damage is already starting to surface. Will be fun to see all the mgt gutted and this company made lean so go take your Geritol its passed your bedtime gramps.
