Current and potential shareholders think Allstate is doing a fantastic job, and the stock keeps on rising. Workers are considered replaceable commodities, the cheaper the better, and that means that if you want a job long term in a lot of areas, you'd best be competitive with the folks in Allstate India, with their 12 hour days and Indian wages, or your job is slated for the trash heap. Allstate's realized during the pandemic that if you can do your job at home in your pajamas, your job can be outsourced. The next round of major RIFs is in the making.

Grabbing my popcorn to watch this site light up with lifers getting laid off... Hope they all get the axe.

If people worked half as hard at Allstate in their actual job, as they do trolling these forums, the company might not have to lay off people.
It sure feels that way. No support of the American worker at all. We’re supposed to feel grateful over being allowed to work from home long term? That just means they can continue to pile on work enough for 2 to 2.5 people on to 1 person. That’s how we have to compete with India now. If not, there’s the door. They really think this is okay. Someday there may be a lawsuit over how they mistreated folks. Many companies are moving ALL office jobs to India. We are a means to an end. One thing fir sure is the next round of layoffs will come with no announcement or warning. POOF. You’re gone. There won’t even be a memo to those that remain. They are stealth now. They are doing so many things without telling the employees they don’t even lie anymore by boasting how “transparent “ they are. You’re just gone and your only refuge is to come to this site and vent. Thanks Allstate for making us feel so valued. NOT.
