I'm newish here and there's one thing that's been driving me crazy. I didn't receive proper training, so there are thing I have to ask my manager about. When I do, he never gives me a straight answer. He's only looking to get rid of me as soon as possible. Then when I do make a mistake since I never received a proper answer he rips me a new one. Is it usually like this or is this guy simply an a–hole?

Ask the associates who been there longer, some will help you, Some won’t cuz they think you in there to take their job... don’t ask managers they don’t know anything only seat in the office with their favorite associates! Good luck 👍🏻
I either figured it out on my own, watched/listened/paid attention to what other people were doing, ask another associate, or learned it here and on reddit.
I would never, ever, ask a manager for a slue of reasons. I ask one of the older team leads or someone who's been there a long time.
its all a test man. If you get hired and you cant figure things out before your probation 90 day period. you failed in their eyes. and hastily terminated. if you seem competent at 90 days, maybe they keep you.
When in doubt, find the persons name always being called on the radio. Ask him or her. Because there's a reason they're name is always being called. cause they probably get c––p done better, faster and more efficient than everyone else.
hahahaha....walking you through opportunities in your area... translated that means you get told every time you screw up in their eyes but get little in praise... you have not been here long i figure...soon enough you will tire of "opportunities" and not be grateful being in essence toldnothing you do is right....
Welcome to Sam's Club! I would agree ask another associate even if there in an another Dept. they know more than a manager any day. I will say when I started we went through training for a week. They quit doing training many years ago in my club , well when they made the mistake of letting personal go since they ran the training. But yeah your manager sounds like a real LOSER!!!!
Your manager sounds like he's probably on the fast track to a cushy job in Bentonville.
Yeah never ask a manager or team lead. Always ask someone that’s been there 10+years
Ask your lead first. Then ask another co worker. Some managers just don't know the job.
Sorry but my managers walk me through the opportunities I have in my department and they help and I'm so grateful.
Ask another associate. Managers don't always have the right answers because they don't actually do the work. I'm not bashing managers with that comment, it's just the truth. Ask a co-worker who does it.
Sam’s think that the CBL is our training. Of course it’s not. I have seen very few people that are trained properly.
