I had already taken on a lot of work after my colleague left. Now another colleague has left Allstate and there are good chances that I will have to take over his job as well. I absolutely don't want that.
I mean, even if I wanted to, I couldn’t realistically finish all that work.
I can’t even imagine what would happen if I said no. Did someone refuse to do someone else's job without being shown the door?

Honestly this is a big part of why I left. People kept leaving and they just kept piling it on instead of trying to fix the problem. It got to a point where I just couldn’t do it. There was no option but for me to leave and let them add it to someone else’s plate instead. I have a life, I’m not working till 9-10pm like my manager every night.
Smile and nod when you get the additional work then turn around and do the bare minimum. Compliance not performance is rewarded at Allsnake
