If the CM are gone who do they think is going to finish up implementation on all the work that’s already been awarded to contractors? Get ready it’s going to be an epic melt down. PUC is going to have an express lane just for Windstream. Tell it to the judge boys.

Why would CM's be needed under this new structure? CM's were only created under the terrible CLEC mindset of BW. The CM's added no value in the Northeast other than if there was a problem say contact the engineer. The CM in OH and PA good luck finding him, heck he will not even answer his phone. He is more of a puppet for the contractors to get what they want.

Same splicing contractor just told me Windstream is laying off most or all construction managers this month, which seems inconsistent with hiring 1000 people.
More like a 1000 contractors. Fiber builds are not permanent or long term positions.
Your contractor would be correct. I left making $80k/yr and they tried to backfill me with a posting for $40k/yr. After 6 months they didnt get anybody to take the job and they just ended up losing the head count in that next layoff.
