Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

What is the right way?

The lack of respect here and disregard for common sense is at an all times high. Does it happen to you to do a thing in one way and then you are told that it should be done in another way, and after doing things another way, you're told that it should be done in yet some other, third way?
I don't know what to do anymore. Lately, it is not clear to me what is wanted from me at all and what is the right way to do things. What I am experiencing is a real humiliation and attack on my self-respect.

Just do what we do, try to look busy when management is around then relax when they're in the breakroom testing on their cellphones. Everyone knows it's the end for this company anyhow so why sweat it?

Please understand that the "right" way is whatever I, the person in charge. says it is. And that definition can and will change whenever I decide to change it, for whatever reason. This is because I don't know what the he-l I'm doing but I'm going to pretend like I do. I just need you to do whatever I say, smile and say thank you or tell me how smart I am. (And look for another job!)
