My SCO Complex had about 1/2 the band E and above take the buy out. We are also hiring. We are extremely busy. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out once the end of October rolls around.

I got a new job. I am going to Progressive. I can't wait to tell them I am done with this place!

Doesn't matter if they are thriving or not. Older/higher band paid attorneys are going to be laid off and replaced by someone getting paid half their salary. That is all in the works now where I am. Counsel level and above are being laid off and replaced by regular trial attorneys that make half their salary.

Depends where you are. SOME SCO offices in the US are thriving & hiring additional attys, paras & admins.

I am, clearly the SCO is in bad shape and jobs are at stake across the board. It would be very foolish to think you are immune from a very obvious layoff coming up in SCO!
