I think some layoffs here happen under the radar. When it comes to cuts, no one has much insight into how many people will be laid off, who is the target, etc.
I don't understand how DXC is so non-transparent in this regard, while some other companies, (which also care about public image), are much more transparent on this issue?

That's the guy.
Have a look for Di-k Turpin, famous English bandit.
There is no Steve Turpin on Workday has he been WRF'ed? I see a Steve W Turpin
IT Manager at Magnus Corporation
When I was there I had to choose 110 of 260 team members to WFR. They gave me a year to do it, but expected significant progress throughout the year. If I had let the 260 know that was the plan, what do you think would have happened? How many of the top team members would have stayed on with that hanging over their heads? As it turned out attrition was so bad that we were able to hit the number without laying anyone off 8 months ahead of schedule. I wanted to be the 110th, but someone beat me to it as I was #111. They went from cutting 110 to needing to hire 60 in 4 months all while making every customer angry. Myopia is a requirement for senior management at DXC.
did Turpin mention redundancies specifically, any time frame, numbers... I haven't the energy to go back over the replay to hear what he had to say. Can anyone who was on the call enlighten me on what was actually said, please?
you're partly wrong. Turpie is only worring about his bonus.
Nothing has changed at DXC. Steve Turpin confirmed there are redundancies in the latest town hall, but won't say how many or who is affected. This leaves staff worried for their future but DXC don't care. They say that employees are a priority, but the only thing they care about is the share price.
