I'm just wondering how much time will pass from the day I became redundant to the day this company hired someone new for that position? If we are redundant because there is no need for these roles anymore, then how come the new employees come to those positions very soon afterwards?

Its all about replacing more expensive employees with much cheaper less experienced alternatives either on or off shore.
They just make the job title, role and responsibilities different from that wfrd. They claim those who have been @DXC for some years don't have up to date skills, so rather than provide relevant training its easier for them to slash and burn much like Mark Hurd did in the past.
