All you Agile haters are right. No one outside if the company uses it. We should fight it tooth and nail.

If you decide to leave, or are let go, then you will go to another company that uses it since everyone does.
And you will slop it up and say it's the best thing in the world because you really don't have to b@lls to say otherwise.

The EM use of this 'method' leads to poor product and, truth be told, often deceiving the customer.
The customer is disrespected - 'they don't know what's good for them' is a mantra.
Dumpty method - again from external consultants.

Also don’t get me started on our central agile org “E___” that try too hard to make their teams some hip start up company. Cannot believe we pay people 6 figures to be “agile coaches” to sit in ceremonies and correct people if they did some small anti-pattern. Also all the useless tools and articles they develop, many of which are advertised for a few months then left to rot away. Would really like to see usage stats on that stuff.
As someone forced into an Agile leadership role - just end it. For the love of god just end all of Agile. It works at the right company but EM is not a software company. Our development is nothing but packaged vendor solutions with mild tweaks and bolt ons to the code which you don’t need agile for.
The older developers hate it and complain all fu----g day because they dream of getting on their knees and provide white glove service to the business again. The younger devs seem indifferent because it gives transparency and let’s them focus on dev more to eventually leave the company.
Product owners/managers are generally okay but many don’t have the domain knowledge to prioritize and rely too much on the team. Scrum Masters are borderline meeting coordinators and just rebranded project managers - in software companies the scrum master hat is passed among developers, why do we need a full time role?!
And SDMs oh sheesh probably the worst. All they do is talk about psychological safety and I&D then play on their phones all day (seriously look around next time your around an SDM). They’re tasked to build your skills but most haven’t coded a line in decades - all they know is tech buzzwords at a high level. Most struggle with PowerPoint and Zoom.

Agile and scrum are outdated now. That’s what I read anyway.
The idea of “agile”, or “agility” is great. If you’re referring to what they did in EMIT, that’s called “Scaled Agile Framework”, or “SAFe”. I don’t think any more needs to be said on that failure, but I’ll add that I know more than one professional SAFe Consultant that knows the whole thing is just trying to force-fit traditional IT into agile-sounding roles.
