Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

When can we call it discrimination??

Windstream created ERGs for specific societal segments. Today 6 new Directors, 5 belong to one of the special Employee Resource Groups. How far does it need to go before we can call it biased and discriminatory??

I feel like Windstream discriminates against older people for the same reason. Diversity.. Your loyalty to the company means nothing.

Lol, you must have been under the same VP as me. We had required reading for The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Lean In, etc. It was like an Opera book club from our VP, not everyone aspired to be an MBA.

If you are not part of the Inclusion and Divisirity initiative you will become a minority. They are looking for the most diverse leadership not the best candidates. I went through all of this in the early years of PAETEC. Any opportunities I had for growth went out the window, no matter how hard I worked future candidates were already pre determined.

Looking good to the board and investors is more important than sound business decisions as far as HR and the executives are concerned.
