I’m fed up by a lot of things and I’m generally not happy working at EM. I have been feeling this way for a while and decided it is time to leave, even if that means settling for a job with a smaller pay.. Of course I don’t want to be out of a job so I dedicated all of my efforts to finding another job.
Is anyone else in the same process of job hunting in an effort to move away from EM? I guess I'm just trying to find out are there a lot of people that don’t see themselves working here in the long run?

I’ll be retired in 1 to 2 year.
Always good to have a resume circulating these days.
EM hasn't been a life-long career company since the '00s.
Not easy to do - but have half a year's salary in liquid assets all the time.
Good luck - and you are not at all alone with these concerns.
Yes. I’ll be telling managers that they must pay me $250 per hour as a contractor to do the same work they hired me to do as a SME employee back in 2017 for $50 per hour, before they NSI’d me last year.
If they choke, it goes up to $350 per hour. They’ll need me more than I need them.

I understand your comment but Exxon seems like to not want to understand what is making people unhappy. This is what makes me very sad.
They know there are lots of people unhappy but nothing is done to change.
All the Exxon polices are so vague that creates lots of problems. And I don’t see they trying to make it better. So sad
You won't have the choice of staying. EM will downsize for a while so if you are at a high CL level they will cut you sooner or later. The days of being overpaid in O&G are over.
No, but stranger things have happened
Within the oil & gas industry, the grass is not greener. I worked for 9 different companies over +35 years before finally retiring. Good luck
Getty Oil Company
Amoco
T H Hill
Halliburton
Pruassge Energy
Union Texas Petroleum
Arco

ExxonMobil (Retiree)
It was an adventure for sure. I would do it again in a heart beat. But, there were always issues with these companies. Because, in part, they are made up of human beings. :) JG
Sure. I had that thought, then got an offer and changed my mind. Once you do some interviews with another company you'll see its all the same sh*t, and the pay is similar.
So tired of seeing these posts. Please talk about the positive of the Company or keep your entitled misery internal.
