I work in Avenel. We do have a meeting today around 1PM, but we weren't told what it's about.

We were told the meeting was being held in the break room, so with social distancing guidelines I'm assuming upwards of 4 employees work there? Wow, 7 hours now and still no word from anyone either! Maybe the governor was called in because of the economic implications that store holds on the state.

Sorry guys...... cr---y day for us today. Didn't mean to leave anyone hanging. Avenel's closing. Final day scheduled for Aug. 15th. We were told if we stay, we would be "eligible" for 2 months severance. We all asked what "eligible" means, and he really didn't stay. So.... lost my job today. Well LOSING my job, but staying cause I need the money. They better not sc--w with our severance if we stay until August... you'll hear about a mad woman on the evening news if they do....
