Things are always dark here, I think one light thread can't hurt. I know most of you have funny stories from your stores, let's share a few. I'll start:
A few weeks ago my manager called 411 to ask for the number to 911. I can only imagine the other person's face as they told her it's, you know, 9-1-1. To her credit, it was a highly stressful situation but now I chuckle every time I think of it.
Okay …..levity ….a bookseller, an author, a poet , a publisher , an accountant and a private equity executive walk into a bar . Um , uh, oh cr-p , I forgot the joke.
Our store manager is constantly moving tables. Like OCD levels of constant well today one of our old blonde tables completely shattered when he tried to move it and he’s to lazy to actually take the merch off and move the table no, he gets six book sellers plus him to lift and move this table and it fractured like nothing I have ever seen it was hilarious and of course when it happened he ran off and left us to figure out what to do with the mess
