Thread regarding Follett layoffs

I wish management would realize this

How well you treat your workers will determine how your company will do. It is one of the main factors that determines its fate. It's really as simple as that. Companies that treat their employees well are thriving, while those that don't are struggling. We are firmly in the second group, so no wonder we're doing as badly as we are.

If you take care of your employees, your employees will take care of your customers. Follett has forgotten this basic principle in their greed

It took awhile but found a new job with a company that treats their employees as assets, not liabilities.

With that wish and $5 you get coffee.
follett has been a terrible place to work for nearly 10 years now. In the before times follett was fair o its employees. Management lived fairly lavishly, but employees weren't poor. Not true anymore. More SVP, EVP, etc. Less communication. More pressure to truncate careers. Lack of vision has been true for 20 years now. An abusive relationship with staff is new to the past 10 years.
If you're hanging on because you're close to retirement, imagine your last day. Look back on 15, 20 years. Look at the company you're leaving and compare it to the company you joined. Shameful. You can do better. You want to do better.
Time to leave.
