Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Just update your resume and start looking now

Why wait for the constant threat of losing your job because of c-suite incompetence to become 'normal' before you look for something new? Just update your resume and start looking now.

I mean, seeing as how the deathstar has several rounds of layoffs (or surplus, or reorg, or headcount optimization, or whatever other sanitized phrase is in vogue among current management theory) every year, what is the point of hanging on until you get smacked or become desensitized?

All you need to know is that T is a moribund place being led by an arrogant douchenozzle who's responsible for not only all of the major failures of the last 7 years, but also the unmanageable debt, the shattered benefits, and the low employee morale. If that isn't enough to get you looking, then nothing will.

This is too good not to be on top. Posted by @ekf+1aFFjgtO.

Where is this ‘Deathstar’ thing you keep talking about? Is it like a real thing or something from your comic book days? You use it a lot....I mean, like a whole lot in your serial postings.

There's only two choices: 1) stay until you find a better job; 2) stay since you can't find a better job. Well, three - being unemployed. And face it, nothing you can do will change this. Now that you know this, why waste your energy complaining. Just brings you down. Instead, work on you skills, do after work training, and anything else that will get you where you want to go.

I'm a misfit that AT&T chucked out the door, so you should leave too, because it's AT&T, wahhh.
It couldn't possibly have anything to do with me.

I guess you all are in the dying parts of the company. We are doing great, profitability up 25% plus. We are hiring too.

“I’ve been patiently waiting for a surplus to roll on, you can stunt if ya want then your a-s will get rolled on, it feels like T been in the dump for so long, if you think I’m fu----g leaving without my severance you so wrong”

Yes it is time for you to leave. And take your negativity with you. Some of us still find satisfaction doing a good job here.
