By the time we get a contract, the damn minimum wage is probably going to be about what we are making. These carriers are rolling in record profits, operating ratio etc, and the crafts have taken a beating with this PSR over the past couple of years. It's time to share with the people what took the beatings and are somehow still here.

We should’ve been on strike when the first railroad started psr!! Union officials want their cushy jobs but aren’t interested in doing the hard work of a strike! If we the members don’t demand a strike from our union leaders then we are soon going to be working a McDonald’s style job! Time to stop giving back all of the benefits that we fought for in the past.
These Unions don't have the backbone that Volvo's employees have that's for sure.
You are right. But the good news is there is no contract in the works.
You don’t want the contract that’s coming
Pshh you should try being the CEO. I make 7 figures easy and I couldn’t make it at McDonald’s either.
A lot of complaining on here. This is the easiest job I ever had and easily make 6 figures. There is zero stress. Most of my coworkers wouldn't be able to make it at McDonalds.
The union will bargain away thru freight conductors for a few crumbs , then the union will say it’s the best we can do !
A contract only works if both party's agree; uphold and honor it. Since when does NS hold up their end of the bargain on any contract? Just look at the labor work rules/conditions. They have been screwing us for years and the sorry Unions do absolutely nothing about it. They are as corrupt as the Carrier. It's a no win situation. Cancel Culture comes to mind!
The last contract for IBEW just expired 17 months ago. It usually takes 3 years.
Yep. Everything was supposed to be fixed by now. The sun brighter, grass greener, sky bluer.... what’s going on?
With the dems holding total power we should be able to get everything we want, that’s what our union told us,right?
If I'm any of you still working, I'm saying to myself I don't want to see another contract. It never gets any better, just worse and worse. Us older heads remember when we didn't pay for our insurance and the unions folded by a few bucks on the hour and jumped all over it. Now look at it. They can keep their useless contracts, and the Unions are not on your side as info. You're paying dues for absolutely no reason.
Class Ones blamed covid on loss profits but yet executives still received 500k bonuses, even the CEO got almost a million in a bonus. All class ones will be bare bones soon
Good luck getting a good contract. All international unions are in bed with this company. Not one Union stepped up to protect any member, any rule, any agreement or any violation they swear to uphold in their constitution and bylaws. They got paid off to help precision scheduled railroading demolish good paying manufacturing jobs.
Bet our healthcare costs go up!
The carriers have to go back to the drawing board on how to benefit more from a new contract. They thought they had the crew consist but now they do not.
Yeah,right.
