I don't like this whole thing after Q1 results. Does this story about the direct expense ratio that will be pressured mean that all I can expect in the coming period is not a raise but a layoff? That's how I understood it. Are there any predictions of how many layoffs could be and who could be hit?

Layoffs today, unknown # of people so far. Looks like middle management
the layoff numbers will be significant imo- right in time with RTO

Hmm. Now I wonder if the PeopleSoft outages is something more than a routine software upgrade.
Layoffs will be sooner than return to office. Think weeks, not months.
There will be layoffs--- as soon as the returns of the vaccinated---- imo
I have no inside knowledge of whether there will be layoffs or not.
My guess is that Met will lose head count due to frustrated employees leaving.
I also suspect that there will be small layoffs in IT to meet ever shrinking budgets.
No idea on numbers.
