It's so obvious that nobody cares anymore. Employees, management, nobody. My store has been a mess for a while now. It's been getting progressively worse. I try to do the best I can but things that used to take one hour now take two (at best) considering the state they are in. I'm sadly joining the "this place has overstayed its welcome" camp. Macy's needs to be put out of its misery.

Been a manager with the company for 22 years and my new store manager just told me that since I'm not relocatable I have to be the best manager in the store since the other managers are relocatable they don't have to make their goals or numbers, since they have future potential. Why do we need every manager to be relocatable when all we are doing is closing stores? We eliminated all of the district jobs and half of the regions, do we really need that many people who want to be a store manager. Do we expect a mass exodus of the current crop or just expecting to do a little trimming to save some salary dollars.
i knew this back in 2018 is was only going one place and that is down.... when they lifted the dress code and people started to look like bums at work , lack of coworkers or coworkers who don't do anything yet they remain .. managers who have no clue how their dept. is running only look at numbers. store managers who sit in a air conditioned office all day reading " top secret " emails. CEO whos only doing a cash grab before it sinks to bottom of the ocean . Lp cant touch anyone or go near anyone... its over.. the reason you hit this place within yourself is cause you been worked to death and there is nothing left mentally and physically you can do... you are spent.. but macys doesn't care.. they want you gone to be replaced by a 10 hr person and the the torture starts all over again
