HR runs the company now and not just any HR, they are all foreign and have no regards for the laws of this country. They just use their overpaid legal eagles to cover their @$$….

the usual HR playbook is they save a layoff spot for you when you return. Great to have you back you were missed all while knowing in a few days they gonna put a bullet in your head. And well that was unfortunate and blend it with the next round of layoffs that are coming anyway just poor timing you unlucky former employee

HR Compliance would frown on it. Usually they recommend bringing the person back, and then cutting them loose. But standards have changed over time, and I'm sure if heads aren't rolling fast enough ppl will look the other way. However if someone has an open disability or workers comp case or could get tricky.
