Glenn seemed a bit understated on the PPL call yesterday. The reality of little or no Allstate Brand growth over the past 5 quarters tarnishes the TG story. Stock has done well due to the cycle of overpricing, excess profits, share buybacks, and an increased dividend, and not due to growth prospects. The Nat Gen market share grab is good short-term, but will it end the same way as Encompass, Esurance, and other failed strategies? The expense cuts designed to improve customer value (price) have simply resulted in overworked claim employees and horrible agent/customer experiences. You can't write enough new business to overcome the retention declines. On to the next quarter.
Who actually ever hears about the inspire survey results? It’s like they just ignore the results.
Employee turnover is at record highs. Phones and virtual calls are being abandon at rates as high as 50%. The most recent inspire results are out and they don’t look very good.
