Just like someone has already said - jobs do not fall from the sky. Since I haven’t found a new job, and Follet doesn’t motivate its employees at all, I’m forced to motivate myself to get through the work day as easily as possible.
It's a real struggle to endure another day here. Even the bills that have to be paid are no longer a comforting motivation. Now I have a little ritual, I have a quota of how many job applications I will send out for the day and I try to fulfill it. It has become the only thing that keeps me from sinking into a total depression here.

Not sure what position you are in, if Managerin a store it is tough if no-one above you is partnering with you, and it is tough to motivate a staff when you are burnt, from being burned, but try to challenge yourself with small goals. Try and enjoy the people you work with, campus friends. There are so many things that disappoint me about Follett, so many! But, I like my job-what I do, my campus, my co workers, all the campus visitors. Try to not think about the negitive so much and search for good.
the job app minimum is a good metric, I did the same thing for two years. Keep in mind that my own failure to find something is only indicative of my local job market and my resume, but it helps. Bare minimum is also true. We all drink the cool-aid at some point and buy into the vision of helping others, but you cannot help anyone if you don't take care of your own well being first.

Just do the bare minimum. Follett didn't care about cutting our pay during a global pandemic. So don't worry about wasting time while on the clock. If it's slow, read a book. Search for other jobs. Talk to your friends. Don't work yourself to death at a job where you're disposable.
