I worked there at the HC from Nov 2017 until I took the PIL in July 2020. Never saw the fountains working. Every other month you would see people working on it, but nothing.

Thought it was pretty lame. Oh, well. F—- it.

Maybe management, mid level and above, can retrofit the fountains into a hydrogen generation system powered by the hot air that they spew.

We are going to make blue and then green hydrogen but we can't get the fountains to work? Put a team together, do a PowerPoint presentation, get the India engineers involved, problem solved. The Crystal Palace, another garbage dump brought to you by the maker of Algae Fuel,, Kearl, XTO, the Permian, stock buybacks, Woods, the Investor Day, the Value Added Chain, the Lean Into Strategy, the offshoring and save my face/ego and my dividend strategy and now the Carbon Capture and Storage Strategy. Maybe the water was diverted to the dead and dying One Tree in the Food Courtyard

Maintaining fountains is an "expense item" and when "Cash is King" do not expect anyone to spend money on unnecessary repairs.

Same reason trash cans were removed from our cubicles. No trash cans, no need for 3rd party staff to walk around each day emptying 10,000 trash cans.

I wonder how much money was saved when trash cans were removed???

Kind of symbolic of the company as a whole.

They were constantly working on the fountains and then gave up leaving them inoperable. Kind of like the Liza Destiny FPSO.

Lol
I think they learned pretty quickly what a money pit those were. Haven't they been off a few years?
