I get good coverage (not as good as it used to be but still good enough) and that's the only thing that's keeping me here. I can't afford to lose it (family issue) so I'm forced to stay. That's why I take all the abuse, I tolerate the toxic environment, and deal with the stress of constant layoffs. If I had a better option, I'd already be gone.

C'mon now; tell the truth it's not just the health insurance that keeps you here. It's the abuse and the big bucks that cannot be matched elsewhere.
Not buying it. You are not doing your due diligence. It used to be above average but like everything else. over the years it slipped and it is now on par with what everyone else is offering
The health insurance options are actually not that bad for unemployed or self employed. There's 99 flavors out there. Just have to shop.
Other companies have health insurance... a lot of companies have better health insurance
I do not understand your person situation, but I left on my own early last year for personal reason. As I looked around I found equal or better rates (employee costs) and coverage among the places I looked. In addition, separation always envokes COBRA options to bridge from one job to the next.
Look around more. Other jobs are competitive on pay and benefits.
