Do they really think that people who leave this company because the conditions here have become unbearable - do not need to be replaced?
Colleagues who quit a few months ago have still not been replaced. Not to mention that those colleagues did a lot of work that others now have to do instead of them.
This has been the trend for years. More work less pay. Corporate greed at it's finest. Blame the suits and the garbage managers plus the try hards who want to get promoted.

This place cracks me up. They have commercials where they look to hire 10k veterans. Then I read an article where they are not filling jobs quickly and only have 6000 low paying jobs available. 10k minus 6 k equal 4 k unavailable. T mobile preaches inclusivity. Why can’t I have the plan for people 55 and older. Freire said layoffs weren’t going to happen. 3 months later see ya. Hey fda, we will be jobs positive day 1. Nope. Missed on that. Lied to Boost, lied to dish, ki---d sprint people. Hmmm, I see a pattern. SEC should take a peek, might find skeletons in the closet. Skeletons don’t like closets.

If you don't backfill, you can make the scope of the layoff smaller. If there's going to be full time requirements in the office again, you have to lay folks off because you don't have enough "Social Distancing" in the new office structures.
Layoffs will be completed before fiscal year end. Unfortunately post-merger site consolidation won't be done until summer. If you're site closes and you are "permanent" WFH, I would encourage you to update your CV and look for a new job.
Expect it to continue. Plus layoffs....
