For over 8 years I’ve tried to be an exemplary employee - hoping to get rewarded for all the hard work and extra hours I’d put in. I realized I was being such an id--t when my manager told me my reward should be in a job well done. Seriously? Who does he think he’s fooling? Never again. I’m looking for a way out as soon as possible.

What's all this about "female" boss and "female" led DI-Ktatorship ?? Why do you think male leaders are any better? Do you really think pointing out the gender helps ? There have been some great female leaders and some horrible male leaders. It's about the leadership abilities, not the s-x. Grow up.
You’re fortunate to be here and should be thankful you get anything at all! You should love being on call 24/7 and getting nothing for it. The female led DI-Ktatorship in CSS is famous for that BS. The worst leadership I’ve ever seen, I don’t know how they manage to stay employed. You’ll have an easier time finding life on Mars than a leader in CSS.
"you're lucky to have a job at all" is also commonly heard. I have heard that in particular told to different teams MANY times over the past 3 years from my female boss.
