We've had people here for 3 years without a raise and now there is no 401K match. I've seen this before at other companies. With gas prices going up and frozen wages, it hurts to have to do this yet again at my age, but I have to get out while I can.

How do we unionize? It's time to level the playing field.

It amazed me that the newcomers who were hired as contract workers believed that if they worked hard, they would get promoted, hired or given a pay raise.

Many of them are working there for years and years as contract workers. The only reason why they didn't leave is that they are either having a hard time getting a new job, or they are living in Canada as undocumented migrants (making it harder to be hired in the Canadian job market legitimately).

When they hired a supervisor from a country known for misogyny and treating people worse than animals, I left when he tried to mess with me by forcing me to do more work with the same minimum pay.

Our once great ship has sprung many leaks over the decades. I fear there are now too many leaks to fix which brings to mind a quote from a famous investor, Mr. Buffett. The quote goes something like : “Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.”

The only way to bring Xerox to its knees is to go on strike for a week. That means everyone, which of course I don't believe would ever be achieved. Monday the C suite would be telling line level managers to beat your employees and threaten them with termination. By Wednesday they would be changing their minds as customers would start to threaten with contract terminations due to breach of contract. By Friday the C suite would be begging employees to come back with incentives and apologizing for being pricks to all the customer facing employees. The following week if the C suite decided not to take the employees seriously Xerox would have terminal damage done to its reputation and that would be the end of it. I bet Carl Icant and Johnny Vas---ne would be woken up to reality. Just a thought!!

And IF you happen to wake up and react to what you are now aware of and work according to their pay and OT restrictions and not do 12 to 14 hours of work squeezed in 8 hours with no lunch you will be laid off. Heaven forbid you develop serious health issues from the stress placed on you...they don't want to know or hear about it. You will be shown the door and replaced. They don't value hard working employees who may have gotten sick from the toxic environment.

Your motto is incorrect. Xerox employees have been working harder for less compensation. No raises, no 401K matching contribution, higher health care expenses through cheap insurance and taking on the work of laid off colleagues. The only people who haven't sacrificed anything are the corporate level officers who collect millions in bonuses. They are being rewarded for abusing employees. Your effort should be commensurate with your compensation. You earn less and you should contribute less each day.
