Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Company’s latest attempt to use magical thinking to resist change

Great summary by a Harvard Business School Professor on the Engine No.1 slide deck.

‘’ A concise summary of the reality of ExxonMobil’s corporate strategy is, “As long as there’s oil and gas out there, we’re gonna drill for it. No matter the cost and how much money we lose in doing so.”

An equally concise summary of their Magical Mystery Tour strategy is, “Hey, not to worry. Thanks to our amazing efforts in carbon capture and storage, with a little bit of help from our algae friends, all will be well!” ,,

Forbes accepts and publishes articles that are very left wing biased. Not all, but too many to be a trusted source of straight news. Steve Forbes himself has some ideas that are far from investor friendly. Not a conservative to say the least.

Took my time to go through this presentation. Best deck I have seen in years . Finally some real facts rather then all the usual restricted inhouse BS we get to swallow (or obliged to present ourselves)
Feels good to finally get to read some truth :-)

Maybe we should cancel our corporate wide license to Harvard Business School publications if we do not like what Harvard Professor(s) are writing in conservative publications. Every investor has a subscription to FORBES.

BTW, Forbes is a "right-center" conservative publication according to "Media Bias Fact Checkers"

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/forbes/

Bias Rating: RIGHT-CENTER
Factual Reporting: MOSTLY FACTUAL
Country: USA (45/180 Press Freedom)
Media Type: Magazine
Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: HIGH CREDIBILITY

These media sources are slightly to moderately conservative in bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appealing to emotion or stereotypes) to favor conservative causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation. See all Right-Center sources.

Overall, we rate Forbes Right-Center biased based on story selection that favors the right and the political affiliation of its ownership. We also rate them Mostly Factual in reporting, rather than High due to some misleading or false stories related to climate science.

Just another biased Forbes article from contributors that are hard core environmentalists and advocates of social activism. No credibility whatsoever.
