While I agree with some of the posts on this site, as someone who recently left the company after 5+ yrs due to relocation, I have to say MetLife treated me well - I was paid fairly for my work, the work life balance was good, and I enjoyed working with my colleagues. I wasn't underpaid (compared to similar positions at other major insurers - you can't compare to a different industry).
Did I have to put up with bureaucratic cr-p occasionally? Yes. Did I like everything I saw at Metlife? No. Truth is there's politics in every company. You hear drama going on in your local grocery store, let alone at a company with 50k employees.
Honestly, if you're not satisfied with the company, it's better to pick up some new skills and interview elsewhere.
