If there is a standardized iq test involved, that’s discriminatory.

Just took my assessment this afternoon, what a waste of time... It's a personality test mixed with an IQ test...

Assess away! If you haven't improved yourself with the thousands of free training classes they have provided over the last several years, then you deserve to go! There are LOTS of good paying jobs out there for me if I ever got let go.

@2jmb+1aBC0Igv band "a" is bottom of the totem pole.

band e is manager/bonus eligible tier. You won't be getting this "leadership assessment"

I am an A3, should I be expecting to take an assessment?
Not clear on the hierarchy of pay bands. Can someone elaborate?

Band E attorneys are getting laid off by the droves. It will officially happen in August. Don't say you were not warned

Since we are being lied to and told these are only for development purposes (which anyone with a brain knows is bu-----t) does anyone know whether that could be used against them WHEN they eventually do use it to lay people off? Class action lawsuit or anything like that?

Brah, you don't offer voluntary termination to a group and then do snap assessments on the same exact group if layoffs aren't involved.

Plus the senior leadership of this company is out of touch and stuck in a 25 year old business ideology that assessments for development plans for bonus level employees would never cross their radar.

Layoffs 2021 are now underway.

If the geniuses in HR wanted to make it clear that these assessments are different than the assessments just used to select people for layoff, they should have called them something else. Calling them assessments again - absolute boneheaded move. Call them evaluations. Using the term assessments creates confusion and sends very mixed messages. Of course people don’t trust it.

Hmmmm. Let’s see here. First band E and up gets a voluntary separation package, then they are asked to take as assessment and people don’t think this is to like you up for layoffs?! Are you stupid???

It’s actually very accurate. Glen took it and was assessed as a bi--h

If you think these assessments won’t be used against you, you’re seriously living in an alternate universe.

Lol. Another half truth here. The email clearly says it’s for development only yet here you go fearmongering that it’s for lay offs.

Yes Allstate may be lying and may later use the data for terminations, but you post it like it’s the same as last years assessment for layoffs but it’s not.

If you think these development plans won’t lead to people eventually being terminated, I have bridge to sell you.

I think its good to weed out the dead weight in Band E and above. A lot of them don't do sh-t but sit around and collect a paycheck and bonuses

These Leadership Development Assessments” are not in furtherance of selecting people to lay off. They are part of the “Skills of the Future” development plan. It should not be confused with the selection process claims went through. It’s roll out though is interesting as it effects band E and up. Same as the Special Separation Program. If you were one of those band E and above selected, and now you have all this extra development stuff to engage in, anyone who was on the fence whether to accept the package will certainly take it now.
