Because Allstate is a status quo company. Everything about it is old school and the management has zero desire and incentive to change that. This means that any out-of-the-box thinking is frowned upon, any attempt to create a progressive workflow is squashed, and any individual contribution is discouraged. Now tell me, how are things supposed to change with all that?

@1zib+1aB8pmat Seems like the p-t calling the kettle black. LOL You just blamed the entire younger generation for YOUR lack of professional success and demand respect for being part of the "greatest generation" (sic) when you know that it's much deeper than that. You sound really mad. I'm satisfied with where i'm at, financially and professionally and I can say so humbly. There's something to be said about confidence vs arrogance. Lead, follow or fu-k off.
It’s so funny that you all think this site is anonymous. We get together weekly to discuss the poofs that troll here and use that as a guidepost for what crazy a$& cr-p to do next
@1wdn+1aB8pmat - Your post demonstrates how rude, arrogant and insecure you must be. I've worked with people like you; limited social skills, a know it all, frustrated because you are not moving up like YOU think you should be. You play the perpetual victim, and that's your excuse for your mediocre performance, pay and social life. You are the ultimate loser, totally lacking in patience, empathy and confidence. The only people I pity more than the ones forced to work with you would be your family, who really can't stand to be around you as your constant bitterness sucks the air out of any room you enter. Crawl back under the rock you live beneath and let the grown ups work out these issues. You are truly a pathetic excuse for a human being.
@1cck+1aB8pmat WOW. These same kids you refer to have endured not one but now two economic crises due to greedy sons of bi----s like yourself and the con artists on Wall Street. I can say I'm right sm--k on the border of millennial and Gen Z born in 95 and can appreciate the contributions of previous generations and their insight from a business standpoint, HOWEVER I have little respect for your generation when they lack adaptability. We constantly adapt to the changes in technology, what's stopping you? Your $2,000 bachelor's degree that you obtained in the 80s? Shut the fu-k up and learn how to rotate a PDF and type faster than 50 words per minute.
The kids, whiney spoon fed privileged everyone gets a trophy kids VS age knowledge wisdom trained experienced adults. You lack the insight and care less about the greatest generation, no nothing of and have no understanding of living through the depression era or being children of that era. Pull your head out of your phone app and see the real world, understand the people that built this country, you think being a specimen for corporate goons is ok as you no nothing of the labor movement that led to 40 hr work week, overtime pay, minimum wage, health care benefits and more. You can thank the senior employees and their parent whenever you want. Better yet get an app that can give you a history lesson. What will your contribution to the future workforce be?
Post ID: @xka+1aB8pmat. So
- can you hand write your signature or simple mark your spot with an X? Think about it.
Because people like you work here is my guess
You all being on the payroll is reason enough the Big A will never change. Dead weight
@dbd+1aB8pmat that is great they were able to do that back then. but what have they done lately? They are, on average, slow, expensive and stuck in old ways that don't work in the modern world.
Many barely know how to use a computer, need to be shown and reshown multiple processes daily, and get far less done on a daily basis.
Those are the ones that need to be put out to pasture to usher in a new generation with the basic skills to do the job with the modern tooling without protest or confusion, so they can focus on improving and streamline the process.
You could not be more wrong and I finally have to address those of you blaming the older group. We have gone from policies in tubs to virtual assist. Our whole careers have seen change and we have embraced it. You have never lived without a computer and we helped move them into the office. Does new thinking help, absolutely. But change needs to come with a plan to succeed and that is where the company has failed. To many young people have come in and said we need to change without a plan or a reason. Stop thinking your ideas are superior to everyone else’s and work together within all generations to succeed. Our generation does not know everything but either does yours. Experience and new ideas working together will make a company successful.
The only solution is gutting the company of those stuck in the 90s... Via, you know, layoffs... Weird
agree 100% the Jurassic Park mentality the Sears-Roebuck heritage comes shining through with the leadership over the decades that I have witnessed. Change can be hard, it is difficult to manage mistakes can be made, when chaos ensues someone should be held accountable.
