Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Charlie squeeked thru a pay raise at shareholder meeting today

"The banking world’s most thankless job just got more so. Wells Fargo’s executive pay plan won approval on Tuesday from a scant 57% of shareholders, based on a preliminary count at the lender’s annual meeting – a level so low that it’s tantamount to failure. "

Chainsaw got little support for his executive compensation package at tuesdays shareholder meeting.

".... after banks have received so much support from governments, paying the boss 274 times more than the median employee looks callous."

Indeed.

But wait, there's more...

During the shareholder call Charlie faced questions questioning his grotesque pay package, the reputational risk of hiring ao many indians and firing americans in middle of a pandemic, to when is asset cap going to be lifted and the whole host of demoralizing policy changes that threatened frontline employee morale.

All questions were deflected with lots of typical charlisq "Ums" and "its great for the company".

When you come to work every day, dreading your inevitable pink slip, just know he got a pay raise for making your career prospects grave while he earns over 274x you do while sitting in an ivory tower hundreds of miles away, playing sour notes on an electric guitar, and dreaming about his fat pay check.

Work less hard people.

"work less hard"

What are they gonna do, fire me?

"yes"

Well, they are going to do that anyway....

Quite frankly a severance package sounds pretty good right now.

The only people who think WFC is a good investment are outsiders who believe the bs Charlie is slinging. If only they knew what a S-Show the company really is. Come on in and try to do the most simple task on our system without 3 manual work-arounds. While you’re there I’ll be happy to show you multiple compliance issues as well as risk issues, just in my department alone, that no one wants to invest the $ to fix.

Was the raise 1% to 1.5%?

His fat pay check is nothing compared with what Stumpf did to Wells. Blame Stumpf.

Multi Billion Dollar funds are the majority owners of Wells. If they are not happy, then he is probably on his way out pretty soon. Ryan Cohen to the rescue!

We can complain all we want but if the company wasn't such a huge pile of cr-p before Charlie, they would have been able to find someone to take less money

Stock price up. Investors are happy. Charlie haters just have to hate and whine a lot more.
