Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

These comments from one of the SD threads are sad to look at

Intel Core i9-10850K 10-Core 3.6-5.2 GHz LGA 1200 125W Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630 $369.99

" Better than the 11900K for sure lol "

"That's for dam sure :) For 99% of people, the 10-core 10850K for $370 (or just $320 if you live near a Microcenter) is a no brainer deal vs. the 8-core 11900K for $550. I'm glad last Christmas I snagged my 10850K / ASUS ROG Z490-E motherboard combo for a little over $600 from Newegg."

"The only people buying the 11900K that I can think of are those who really need PCIe 4 SSDs and extreme overclockers. "

"Glad I decided to skip this 11th gen and grab the CPU/mobo combo deal that included this CPU. It's a great CPU, and definitely better than the 11th generation. "

Someone just posted this link as a response: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jVAfk4AG3A (basically says the 11th gen is s**t)

tldr; PRODUCT FAIL

Agreed, there should be no i9 Rocket lake, purely cheapens the i9 branding, have the honesty to admit its not top tear and top out the 11th gen with the i7-11700k.

Alder Lake can't come soon enough. I sure hope it comes with a new naming scheme, we have ran the course with modifying it by 1000 with each new generation(too many numbers now). With the big and little core design I wonder if they will go with numbers representing the actual subdivision of large cores, small cores, then Graphic, or just give the family of chips different names with different postfixes.

Its AMDs market until then, good thing for chip shortages and vertical integration, Intel is sure weathering this rather well.
