Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

Way ranked in bottom ten percent!

Not sure if y’all caught the article in “The CEO Magazine”, February issue, page 58, that had Way ranked at the bottom for CEO’s in our space. Interesting. Several key performance metrics are used including shareholder return, employee satisfaction, use of hot business school words, and the like. I was surprised of his low ranking to be honest. Check it out.

This is one hundred percent accurate. I know how that went down..... I must say this company has deep rooted issues. It comes from the top.

The falling out between the former SVP of Admin and HR had far more to do with the CEO's growing disenchantment with anyone he senses may be the slightest bit disloyal or opposes his orders. She clearly was an order follower up until the point she had enough money not to care about being subservient. The CEO has to be the most insecure man on the planet as he doesn't care about anyone or anything other than whatever thought is in his tiny brain at the moment. I am sorry for the people who suffer through his temper tantrums, wild and unpredictable emotional explosions, fake sincerity and total disregard for anyone's opinion other than his own. You have no security, no respect and no future at SWN.

Sorry. Reading my post from last night. Meant 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 layoffs. Gee Bill is good at being consistent about layoffs! Says everyone laid off since 2015!!

Pretentious like when they do the layoffs. Seen it every year since 2025 amongst my peers. Makes me sick. I am devastated to layoff my team.

So what’s up with all the directors and managers going in their offices and shutting the door all day, like us commoners have the “plague”. I guess they’re “privileged” and have a better chance of not contracting Covid and we’re lucky if we don’t get it. Lucky for them I guess.

Your statement about fake news is fake news. These two were thick as thieves and planned every aspect of every layoff. There are even more layoffs to come that were planned by these two. They even attended layoff planning training courses. SWNs best days are behind them and were long ago. It’s now just about cashing a paycheck for me. I’m sorry. I’m just so numb about this place and the fact I have no future. Maybe it’s survivors guilt. Yes, it was me not flushing to potty. So what!

Fake news. We all know that the former Sr VP of HR and Admin was the architect behind every layoff since 2015. Bill’s leadership did not need to have layoffs as part of the business strategy. Fake news about the “former”!!

A smokescreen of an excuse was given as to her departure. What's sad is they expect the employees to believe their outright lie as to why she left.

Me and my girlfriends know what happened to the Sr. VP of HR and Admin.
SWN has some serious problems when it comes to integrity and honesty.

Speaking of a mystery, the great washroom caper of 2021. Not sure of another way to broadcast this urgent message, but for the last five days, I’ve walked into the loo only to find a present the size of a full grown brown trout which hasn’t been sent free to swim the toward the spring wood village POTW. I’m a lady by the way. Please do your duty and flush your ish. Thank you.

Omg. I just found out how much Jay Weigh pays for a haircut. It’s insane. More than I make in a week. This is a mystery. He does have some extra cash cause he doesn’t live in Tanglewood with his peers. He chose to live on that dump of a lake up north.

I miss my days of a coffee with her over in a quiet corner of the Market. Especially on cold, rainy days. I would confide in her my deepest darkest secrets and she was just there to listen. So nice.

So what is the scoop on this ? I'll let the poetic person who posted the rhymes below elaborate on this......

I am an employee still and I just thought it was strange how she left quietly and was taken off the website suddenly and no one said a word. She worked with him at other companies prior to SWN and she worked here since 2009. Very strange.

I could say, but then I thought about it, and I won’t say. Would you say that’s the right decision? Who knows as they say. I really do know the scoop about this. We will be having a meeting about this at the Market tomorrow morning at 9. Grab a coffee and join!

Just saw an HR manager walk out of the fifth floor men’s restroom with what I taped up in the stalls. I hit the ground laughing having witnessed this.

I can’t seem to find the article in reference. Any help is appreciated. Is this only a hard copy? Guessing no print copies in the office, or if so, page 58 is ripped out?
