You can stay at CTL if you want to be a prem tech for 25$
Interesting nothing in the east or mid-atlantic yet. We expected the axe here in Ohio and PA yesterday.
Just got the ax in Iowa along with 32 others 24 net techs 8 cdts
321 net techs AFTER the surplus? Sounds like there's plenty of fat still left to cut. Join the rest of the company and start making do with a shoestring crew. The days of USW blowing the budget on Denver and Phoenix and sticking it to the rest of the company are over.
321 net techs left after they surplus the 94 in Phoenix
How many broadband/network techs will Phoenix have after this cut?
This is so disappointing! Tenure no longer matters. We're in Phoenix and I guess we are going to start looking for transfers out of here or into new companies. :/
Make sure you do your health certificate, what a sh– hole
5 techs in rochester MN, not sure about the rest of the state.
8 cdts in Greeley/Ft Collins. Clocks pushed back for weeks and techs from other garages are sent to help cover the work. Probably the same story in other areas.
94 Phoenix 13 Tucson 2 Sierra Vista 1 Bieber 3 Yuma
Iowa = 9 CDT, rest is Broadband techs.
33 in Iowa just announced.
Just as we predicted! Bonus payout and then layoffs! Like a book....so predictable!
50+ from outside sales, various states.
With today’s announcement the Utah numbers jumped to 63. All net tech or broadband.
Utah is 41 broadband/ network technician and 2 or 3 construction network technicians. I haven’t seen anything about Arizona.
Employer of the year! Great job Centurystink/Lemon! And JS gets an Orbie Award! What a Effin Joke! That guy is a used car salesman!
If you know numbers can you also add positions?
65 in utah
tucson losing 13
Phoenix is losing upwards of 90
They may not care but the government does. There are laws requiring them to have good batteries in place. If we all call in they will be fined heavily! The pocket book is what hurts them most!! Call in!
As a CO Tech, I can tell you more remotes have dead batteries than good ones. And yes, they are well aware and refuse to spend the money on replacing them. The last criteria we heard was, unless it fed a government agency, state police, state senators office or hospital, they don't care. That may have changed because we just gave up complaining and just let the customers down.
well has anyone got any type of # or locations this is going to take happen at
Oh man 1 more day till doomsday. What could be all the bad news.
It’s time to start ratting these a–holes out! They don’t care about any of us! I know for a fact they are not replacing any batteries in any remotes! Some batteries are more than 18 years old. These remotes are supposed to stay up for at least 4 hours during AC power fail. Call the PUC and FCC and start squealing folks. Anyone notice how much Story made last year?

Hearing on April 1 that 400,000 employees will be laid off or fired. Yes 400,000 this is from a very reliable source and it’s not a joke. Wink wink
What an absolute wreck less company! So happy I left that joke of a company! Here’s your bonus and oh, your box!
900 layoff
Nationwide

Stay there as the future looks bright! April fools! Anyone who stays with that company is the only fool in town!
