Things weren't like this always but now there's no work/life balance anymore. The bank keeps cutting people and then dumping their work on those of us who're still here. i'm not even sure anymore how many jobs in addition to my own I'm doing these days. I don't have time for anything else. It's only a matter of time before I throw in the towel.

Agreed. Exceeds is only given to favorites which is usually of the male species. And that person is doing one fourth of their job. But year after year I do what’s right and STILL get meets/meets. It’s disgusting this place boasts about being fair and doing the right thing. A joke.
I was laid off this week. I agree that you can work your b–toff and still only get meets/meets. It’s disgusting. The only people that get better performance ratings are the people that are the supervisors favorites. It’s pathetic.
The bank rates 90% of their Associates as meets/meets. No matter how much tangible proof that you have that each year you worker harder, no matter how many reports show that you have exceeded the goals and your peers performance, no matter how many Platinum, Gold and Silver awards and e-cards you receive, you still get rated as a meets/meets. Newer people from Goldman Sachs, who come in at crazy senior levels/titles and even crazier salaries, get the exceeds/exceeds. You know what that does, makes above-average people scale back their efforts to the level they are compensated for. This is why the Bank is an underperformer. I was always told that you "feed your eagles and starve your chickens". Not here. The bank likes to reward their friends who they brought over from other companies. The sadder thing is that top management does not see this. They really need to shake up middle and upper management. We have SVP's and Directors that have zero to 3 people reporting to them. We are top heavy, but the worker bees keep getting let go.
Agree with the last reply. Co workers that are poor,LAZY, performers are rated meets meets and receive the same salary increases as those that rise above. Join the party and wallow in sub par mediocrity till you find something better
Just do like the rest of your co-workers and start doing a sh–ty job. You’d think if you screwed up enough you’d get fired, but actually they’ll just promote you!
No one is going to quit in this job market. Wait until they lay you off then you have time to look for a decent job. This company is a total joke with the incompetent middle managers who are a bunch of empty suits that know nothing.
I don’t see any layoff from BOA as far I can see. If they think everyone will quit so the don’t have to pay them severance then they’re as stupid as they look. No ones quitting so if they want to pay people all that money and cover their health insurance good luck to them stupid move on their part. #showmethemoney
In fact THEY hope you quit... sorry for the typo
Not sure how long you’ve been with the company but it’s been like that for a while. And guess what… They don’t care. In fact I hope you quit so they don’t have to lay you off and pay you severance. Good luck.
