There is a rumor going around that the 7% company match in the Savings Plan will be reinstated on April 1! Are you hearing the same thing?
If true, this really changes my opinion of ExxonMobil for the better!!

This future-life match was blown out in October.
Management already said a couple years. Salary surveys reveal XOM personnel are overpaid at all levels.
If this were to be true, 80% would be righted in my mind...and I no longer need this site for cheap therapy.
Even in the Shareholder statement, it mentions the suspension of the 7% match.
And calls it temporary.
My understanding - on April 1 - the 7% match will return if 100% of your 401K in XOM stock.
If you have only 30% of your funds in XOM - you will get a 30% of the 7% match.
And so on...
Nope. It'll be retroactive from the Feb 30th one.
What about all of the talk saying money isn’t important, that boomers sold out just for the money, that pay cuts are acceptable just to leave EM, that EM couldn’t pay anyone enough to stay, on and on.
All that commitment melts away with the just talk of match coming back? Now that’s integrity! LOL
