Here is a link with information of how this program is designed to work. I have contacted Allstate Benefits, and am waiting for information.

Oy! No way would I even think this company would reimburse anything especially the ridiculously high cost of COBRA. You are better off getting a short term 6 month health plan from a provider (not ACA) for you and your family. Got a family plan personally purchased that includes dental for me, my kid, and wife for just under $300 a month. The deductibles and coverage are about the same as what Allstate was providing when employed and far less than COBRA. Allstate will find any way possible not to reimburse for anything if they can or make it a headache for you if by some miracle they happen to.
With the relief plan just passing a few weeks ago, it offers COBRA relief for people impacted starting with April coverage. If you call Benefits there is an automated message that says Allstate will be sending you info on how to enroll, if you qualify. However, nothing has been sent out yet and they don’t know when it will be sent out or how it will work. The problem is, April cobra payments are due Thursday and Benefits is unsure if you pay for April and qualify if you’ll be reimbursed, or how that will work. Unless info comes in the next few days, I see the only option is to pay and hope the company does reimburse you. The benefits agent recommended making the payment if it’s due or risk cancelation of coverage. Again, she didn’t really know, so not sure if you don’t pay if the company has to assume payment automatically.
The relief plan just passed two weeks ago. read the info for yourself and act on what you see versus waiting for info on uninformed people on this site to tell you what to do.
We didn't get anything on this. But if it can possibly help and assist needlessly laid off employees I doubt Allstate would have any part or interest in this. Would be surprised if you hear anything back.
Was laid off in October and received and heard nothing of the sort. It was like pulling teeth just to get questions answered on regular COBRA and severance. The whole situation was pretty inept.
