Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

You really shouldn't worry

I'm yet to meet a person who left Allstate and regretted it later. I'm also yet to hear from somebody who was laid off who didn't end up in a better position. I know this is anecdotal evidence since I hardly know the entirety of Allstate workforce, but from my small sample, it's obvious that the grass is much, much greener on the other side.

I rue the day I left. Allstate is the epitome of greatness in American companies. Anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously on the spectrum.

We should start a list of companies that are good to go to.

This is true. While I took a slight paycut. My new company doesnt have occurences, free health care and life insurance. More company paid holidays. I am less stressed and have a happy work, life balance. I thought it was going to be the end of the world. Going out on leave and finding another position before my layoff took effect was the best thing ever. I need stability! I would NEVER go back to Allstate. I used to love Allstate, worked my a– off and for what, to be laid off! I was not in Good hands Dennis!

You'd be surprised how many laid off in 2020 applied for other jobs within Allstate and how many actually came back to equal or lower positions. I have gone through many applications and seen this. Dozens for each job.
