Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

How to find motivation to work until the last day?

Working here has become a real nightmare after they told me they don’t need me anymore. Do they really think anyone will be interested in doing their job knowing that their days are numbered?
I only do the bare minimum and nothing more than that, but still it mentally destroys me knowing that I still can’t erase this company from memory.

Cigna don’t care about the employees.. all marketing , the reality very different and demanding . Management are either too worry on kissing director ass or cutting a coworkers throat . Lots of favoritism and biases . David C talks like he cares ... but he is another self serving CEO that he only cares about the shareholders. His compensation last years Over 16 M ... many departments had not yearly compensation in 2020

I got laid off effective 4-16. I have no motivation to even log on let alone be productive. Management is offering time off without pay cause there is no work. It’s just chaotic and management seems to have no clue what they are doing.

You are not alone. I have been having a lot of difficulty continuing and I still have a couple weeks to work through. It's difficult too when the leadership is acting like nothing even happened. I am sorry this happened to you. I am also trying to look at the positives of it but finishing the time is challenging.

Any notice of your position being eliminated is a gift. Use it wisely. It's much, much worse to be laid off without notice. Also, it's usually easier to find a new job when you already have one. Just a thought!
